"How far have I walked tonight?" Umber wondered aloud to himself as he looked at the midnight sky. The only source of light in this forest was the moon, the stars, and the blue diamond patterns that glowed on his jet black fur. From the look of moon, he had been traveling west for about nine hours or so. The mountain he had started climbing the night before was now behind him and the forest he had seen that night was all around him.
